Hey guys, I turned 18 in February! So here is my question, my mom bought me a 410 shotgun when I was 14 or so. How do we legally transfer ownership from my mother to myself so the gun is in my name?

You don't need to register a long gun. She can simply give it to you and tell you it's yours.
-
And you don't register handguns either. This is Washington State, not Washington DC!

Awesome! Good news, thanks guys! A relief I don't have to go through some dumb transfer process!

Just be careful who you buy from. If it turns out to be a stolen firearm and it ever gets checked by a LEO, you'll have some explaining to do.

His mom is giving it to him. So he should be alright in that sense. unless she bought it hot or dirty. lol
