A buddy and myself went to the Blues the other day and did quite well. Heres some photos. Didnt have the camera on me so I didnt got any ATL photos.
-
I took my nephew and he insisted on tying the blue string to the shed that he found. :chuckle:
-
NICE!
-
Nice job
-
It was a fun trip, thanks again for the invite. We will have to go again next weekend for a 2-dayer. Hopefully we can match up a few
-
Talk about some bone!
-
did you go to the blues before or after you went to the Colockum?
I remember seeing that same pickup parked real close to where we were in the colockum.
Nobody is going to find that many sheds in one trip to the blues this year unless they have some awesome private land and even if it were private there would still be a bunch of trespassing. I'm ready for a shed season. the bulls are getting ran ragged.
-
I havent shed hunted the Colockum in a couple of years. It gets hit way to hard to even waste your time around there. I have some relatives that live in Dayton and they know a ton of the farmers. It helps to know a lot of people down there.
-
Antlerking, We will definitely have to go down and try to match a few up. Maybe we can find some from the bulls that were still packing. Thanks again for the match to the "chillin in the sun" shed. Hopefully I can find his sheds again next year. He has good potential.
-
Nice haul congrats
-
I thought it was just you and a buddy? what about your nephew?
awfully strange genetics for blues bulls.
plus private land up there doesn't usually hold too many year old sheds...
-
:yeah: Exactly what he said 8)
-
You guys crack me up! LMAO! :chuckle:
-
This sight is soooo full of jaelous @{{ holes it isn't even funny maybe if you would get off the computer and go look you might find some. :twocents:

That would be way too tough for me, I heard that you have to walk to find sheds :chuckle:

I'm glad you think you know people well enough to make those sorts of generalized statements. :bdid:
-
Wow nice job, shed hunting is truly addictive, im surprised you havent found any palmated or extra sticker bulls yet. alot of those bulls over there have some very distinct characteristics. good haul
-
I find plenty on my computer. Hell, just going through this thread I found a whole pickup load full. Why would I go outside when I can sit here where it's warm, drink a beer and look at sheds all day. In fact, it's a much more productive way to hunt. I can see 400 class bulls all day...
Jeesh.
-
That's a great trip, congrats...
-
nice to see these matched up!!!
-
I will NEVER understand why people have to assume and accuse about every fricken pic on this site. If you don't have solid evidence of wrong doing cant you please just keep to yourself?? WHO the hell cares if they came from the Clockum or the Blues or Wyoming or Montana? :bash: Great haul guys! Be sure to post some pics of your next trip, there are still some people who just like to look.
-
You guys don't have to say if you don't want to but are you sure those sheds didn't come from the Teanaway? :chuckle:
-

if you met some of these people you would discover you are wrong...and that the blues and colockum both are areas routinely joked about on here.....there are no bulls in the blues because they are all behind a fence in colockum ;) closely guarded by apache helicopters....
Nice sheds guys....I never find anything anywhere course I never even think to look
-
Thanks nooner that is all I was trying to say with my post. A guy can't even post a picture on here without someone jumping on his @as about it in some way or another. Good job guys no matter where they came from. :chuckle:
-
What if they came from last years shed stash? :chuckle:
Just kidding, looks like a great trip!
-
I think some people don't realize that there's a little joking around going on. ;)
-
Nice haul... thanks for sharing. :)

I have fallen victim before and I am sure will again but I was with you on this one.
-
This post was aimed at getting back at me. Sorry for the wasted time to all those who fell into the muck. I guess I should try and be less of a smart A**. I will just keep my mouth shut from now on.
don't be sorry, we're all on here to "waste" time. what else do you call time not spent in the woods?
-
WTF??? Post real pics of sheds YOU found. They do have a joke catagory. If you guys are so pissed at each other then you should tell each others shed spots!! :chuckle:
-
whereever you found them good job. I am jealous. ... With my dad not doing well and lots of dr. visits I just get away much.
-
I don't care if you guys pick at each other! Just tell me where to go find some sheds :bash: :chuckle: Nice finds
-
I'm curious if there is any shed hunting for regular joe's in the blues? It seems to me that the snow would keep the elk down on the private land till way after the bones hit the ground? I would love to antler hunt the blues but always assumed they all lay on private ground, my question I guess- is there any public land in the blues that has elk on it this time of year? With the competition I don't expect a straight answer but have to ask anyway. I've been out on the west side this year a few times and my old grounds have given me nothing so far this year :bash:.
-
I think you hit the nail on the head. There is some public ground where they hang out but I would guess it gets hit pretty hard. I havn't bothered to mess with it much
-
Hello Buckmaster,
You mentioned that you have relatives who know a bunch of farmers in the Dayton area. I have a late season buck permit for that area this year and would love to get some assistance with getting access to private property. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-
Nice haul on the sheds, good job to the nephew also. Bet he was stoked!
-
:chuckle: I was wondering how this old thing came back to life, I see now :chuckle:
