Title: 3rd annual Hunt-wa BBQ Sat July 23rd

Post by: rasbo on May 24, 2011, 03:07:36 PM: the bbq this year is potluck same as last year,I will make some pork butts and pastrami and a mac salad....after the catfish trip I will get things going on the bbq info..Its in Graham for those that dont know,it will be family friendly as all the events we have had so far..kid friendly also,we have bugs,spiders,mud lawn darts :chuckle:

Now that the kidling is gainfully employed, we have to wait for her to get off work at 5. I am meeting epq21 on the hwy at about 6, so we should roll into your place sometime between 7 and 8 depending on traffic.

i'm bringing some blacktail summer sausage for snacking and the mrs is making the corn souffle. maybe i can get it to the table this year without dropping it in the grass :bash:

Post by: rasbo on July 24, 2011, 01:12:51 PM: another great time with friends,34 people this year.had a bow shoot for prizes that woodman donated,croix,my son,flinger and epq21 all won a prize.Elite1 and his awesome wife and bearmanrick had some really cool things to raffle off,A handmade quilt,some water jetted salmon,and hand calls.flinger made some cool wristbands out of parachute cord that he gave to everyone,and radsav sent a book full of peepsight for all to share.once again epq21 and croix dominated the pits...all the kids were a blast,elite1 brought some apple pie for dessert,that dessert led into the early am hrs..how much everclear can a few people drink?holy boomchickawowwow,nit nit nit .we weren't as think as we drunk we were :chuckle:killer food.buckhorn2 had a birthday today we we sang and shared a cake this morning...tons of food Thank all of you so much for the great fellowship..I will post some pics when I get some blood in my apple pie level :o

Met some new and saw some old friends what a great time and my birthday to boot the weather was perfect and the food was great I might have over did it on Rories cupcakes but with the help from Tony we held are on. Rick had his great calls out and demonstrated some calling and steve and his wife raffled off a beautiful quilt and had some salmon made to raffle . Bob Rasbos boy showed off at the archery shoot and just edged out flinger. Rasbo lost his arrows so was out of competition with the help of Steves special stuff. Fun times and great people. John took lots of photos so should be here for long.

biggest thanks to rasbo and #1 for their gracious hospitality. you are truly special people and i hope i don't have to wait until next year to see you again.

All kidding aside it was a great event and my whole family loved the event. Thank you to all that attended and contributed their time, friendship and quality items to raffle or give away. This is a great event with a good group of people.

Jim, thanks again as always for going beyond the call to ensure all have a great time or get what they need. You and your wife are fantastic hosts and exceptional people.

:chuckle:that was about the 12th arrow I ran through that bow,but it wont see the field till Im dead on at 30yrds and below,any farther I would have to jump up in the speed bows and lose my ability to stalk close :chuckle: :chuckle:It sure was fun.Hope we get a chance at late buck up there if ya havent tagged one yet :tup:

I am all for that and look forward to it wether I get one or not. I would really enjoy gettin g in there and hunting with you again. I have to fling a couple thousand more arrows with both my bows between now and gettin in the field.
