I know a couple little businesses over there that are hoping the wetsiders (and especailly their wallets) come storming over!! I'm almost convinced that those signs actually attract people. If you are really trying to keep wetsiders out, apparently you need to do better than that.....the best barrier these days seems to be a sign posted on a large steel gate with the lock hidden in a steel case with boulders piled behind the gate...and finally an old logging tractor parked in the road behind the boulders!

My mom was born and raised in port angeles, one of the oldest famillies from there.
Dad was born and raised in yakima, 2nd generation farming family.
I pay taxes on property on both sides of the state, and distribute my money to businesses on both sides...
Hunt and Fish from coast to border......
I have familly that lives on both sides, in the middle and both north and south, from longbeach and all the way to green acres, bellingham and the tricities...

actually i think the most effective method is to sit up in the bushes with a paintball gun about 50 yards into the private property and nail trespassers when they try to drive by :chuckle: :chuckle:

We put in a gate several years ago to keep the opportunist's honest. it was 6 inch schedule 80 pipe and to make sure it had a solid base I welded a 20 inch truck wheel inverted to the bottom.Just chain marks? I like to look at the gated areas to see what all people have tried. Seen chain marks. Seen where they have tried to dig out the posts. Cut marks from saws. It looked like a few gates have been rammed. Indentations from what looks like attempts to shoot through. I've even heard that during one mushroom season they found a gate that had been cut by a torch.

what kills me the most is the eastsiders who post up state land...that really gets my blood pressure up... one time a guy came up to me screaming his fricken head off telling me I was on his land So I had to get out get in his face and he called the sheriff and when the sheriff came I whipped out my DNR map and they both *censored* when I said I was pressing chargers against the *censored* who was illegally posting state land .. All yeah I went for it to state a point but DNR decided to give him a warning.. Whatever !!! I have spent enough time researching these spots so the next time I can hand them the papers to wipe there beep..beep beep WITH !!!!!! :yeah:
Hell, with all that kind of trouble, you might as well just stay home and hunt. I would..........
