Title: So no WA spring bear tag for me but ID?

So my hubby and I will be heading to ID to try and get me my first bear. Any ideas on where to go. . .I know he has been doing some scouting but just wondering what you all have to say.
REALLY REALLY REALLY want to shoot one we will see!!!! :o

Anywhere in the woods should be fine.  Just strap your hubby to a tree and pour molasses all over him and that should do the trick.   :chuckle:

If you're planning on hunting over bait:

Pretty much anywhere you can get away from people as best as possible should be a good place.  Make sure your area of choice is not one of the few that don't allow baiting.  Be persistant with the bait site; don't let it go more than three or four days without replenishment.  What you use for bait doesn't matter as much as most make it out to.

If spot and stalk is in order, then use Google Earth to find the vantage points that you want to glass from and get there with good optics.  The area where you shot that muley should prove productive for both open land and good bear density, plus you already know it some (if it's even open for bear  :dunno: ).

Todd_ID: thank you for the tips. . .I am getting so excited. . .going out and hopfully kill a turkey today and then ID bears better watch there backs!!! Teehee!  ;) I am really supper excited. I dont think that we will be going that far south for my bear hunt (where i shot my mule deer). But google earth the area we will be hunting? I never thought of that! Again thank you!
