Title: Kenmore Range - Archery
Post by: snohohunter on May 27, 2008, 12:31:15 PM
Anyone interested in meeting up at Kenmore after work this week to walk through the course?  Thursday?  5:00?

I've been practicing out there quite a bit, and would be cool to hook up with others and do the walk through course and/or targets.

Sorry, I meant anyone other than Bankwalker.

J/K - 10 bucks for as long as you want.  They have a full range, then a walk through course..which is pretty fun.

I am game.  Live right behind it, but anyday except Thursday as my son has a school play.
Going to the Nock point tonight to do a little work on the new Bengal.  Need to get my other pins sighted in too.  Right now I only have my 20 in.

Let me know when and I will try to make it.

Did you guys go last night.  I had to work, plus daughters school function.  You know, typical weeknight chaos.

I'm a member up there though.....I'd try and hook up with some guys every now and then.

Me and a guy from work are thinking about going on Sunday.  He just bought his first bow and has never shot before.  He bought my Hoyt from me.
I live right there behind the range, so I am open most anytime to go if anyone is interested.

What's the setup at that range? I hear they have a walk through.
Do they also have just a shooting line?
What ranges are the targets at?
What kind of targets are there?

i'm picking up my bow tomorrow from the nock, then hope to start making some weekend outings to the range to get ready for some hunting. wouldn't mind meeting up with some of you guys over there and put a face to the names...except you bankwalker...i already done that with you.

bw--are you over this way now or still in west seattle?

ray...they have a flat range from 10-80 yards(maybe more) then they have a walk through in the woods. those are burlap bag targets an the flat range are layered rubber maybe? big heavy targets with animal vital targets...can't remember what specifically those are made out of but they are permanent. the  flat range has some benches, lights and a nice covered area with hooks to hang your bow and cones for your arrows.
it's a nice setup. i will probably join up there just to not have to pay $10 every time.

Oops beat me to it..........

When are you going by the Nock?  I might be swinging in there tomorrow as well, and would love to hook up with a fellow member.

The Kenmore range has dedicated lanes with 10 though 80 yard targets as well as a wlakthrough course similar to a 3D, but with bag target strategically placed.

They have a range and a walk through.  The range is 10 yards - 80 yards.    The walk through it pretty cool as well.  There's 28 targets...at all angles and distances.  They're all animals, but are the dunlap bag type.

I spent 3 hours there today.  Worked the range for a bit, then did the entire walk through.

I'd be up for a get together, but it would have to be on a weekend since its 20 miles for me to get up there. I like to combine events when I'm there.....a little time shooting my bow on the flat range, a trip through the walking range, then some time shooting a rifle or shotgun.

I have some time available over the next 2 weekends.

maybe next saturday or sunday...6/14 or 15, preferably in the afternoon i think, but i might be able to make any time work during the day. it'd have to be the weekend for me too.
let me know if anyone is interested.

I think I am free after around noon on Saturday and on.  Going to go into the office for about 4 hours.

Did not make it thins weekend.  Had an unfortuante gardening accident and cut the majority of the pad on my index (trigger) finger off.  Was able to get it back on where it belongs, but could not shoot well for a couple days sinc eI could not bend the finger.

All better now and ready to go.

Will be at the Nock Point today around 4:30 if anyone is interested.  I will be the fat guy with the Martin Bow and Deer Track tattoo on right arm.
