Well I've been invited on a hunt on private property in the greyback area and wanna see if anyone has and pics of bucks from the area or late tag opinions? Or and cross/bench buck pics? Thanks
-
There has been a few bucks posted up from the area 8) You might want to try a search and see if any of them pop up. The late hunt can be hit or miss with the special permit. If you are on private ground you should do just fine if you are looking for a good buck. Good luck with your hunting up here

I've found a few pics but just seeing if there's anyothers around?

Thats EXACTLY on the money, we hunted for 2 or 3 days with bright sunny hot weather and saw nuthin then the fog rolled in and the wind started blowin seen some flurries up high and saw 3 shooter bucks first thing in the morning all pushing does !!!

It was a late tag

A lot of it also has to do with the cat population. They move the deer around a lot. If you get into a area with a lot of cats the hunting can really suck.
-
Keep the pics coming. I like seeing those big benchleg bucks.
-
Here is a late buck from a few years back. Uncle shot it, I just helped pack it out.
-
holy smoke!!! what a hog!!! he looks more mulie then blackie def a dandy!
-
those are the best looking bucks in the state, I love the coloration on them. Was that buck a benchleg or muley?
-
Here's one from 2010. It was his first.
-
love those front forks Wazukie! Awesome buck, first or 20th!
-
He was a benchleg and was shot a few years back when the hunting was still good down there.
-
Can't post pics from this computer, but here is a link (with pics) to the buck I took in that area last year. What general area of Greyback will you be hunting, north, south, west, east? I'm starting to see alot of deer moving back up. Good luck.

This is my buck i killed in 2010 during general season.
-
wow :yike: that buck is a jumbo!!!!
-
I love those mixed up Hybrids. They have the best looking racks to my eyes. Something unique about them. I've taken 2 off them just north of that area. 1 goes 145, the other about 135. I've seen other big ones from that area and they all seem to have one thing in common. Nice eyeguards!
-
Mine from 2008:
-
If Im not mistaking Greyback late rifle is a draw only season.
-
Yes the late rifle is a special permit.
-
I'd post mine, but it is a dink compared to Bobcat's.............
-
Bobcat,
Do you have a better picture of that buck, maybe a front shot? He looks nice!

I'll post another picture, but it's blurry, and that's why I didn't post it in the beginning. I am really disappointed that I didn't get any pictures in the field, but forgot the camera.
-
Thats a nice Buck! How wide?
-
23 inches wide.
-
What a Dandy
-

Here's one from the early 70s my dad got. More Blacktail than Muley rack wise. I need to get it mounted some day. Scored 151 gross NT.(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi238.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fff110%2Ftkswhanson%2FDSCN0689.jpg&hash=02b908460f644750b6d90e4bb2e9229a1a8e7936)

I live 45min from that area , and have never had a chance to hunt it. I really got to get out there and start knocking on doors. Great looking bucks.
-
those are great bucks but dont get your hopes up ive hunted there for years and yes private helps but theres alot of people in that unit and not all the bucks look like that some areas of the unit lack the minerals of the nutrition needed to grow big antlers and but there is one thing it doesnt lack and thats the number of deer
-
Great Bucks Guys!!
Love the extra points!
