Title: Hunting Near Ellensburg
Post by: CWUhunter9 on April 25, 2011, 10:46:14 PM
Hey guys I'm new to the forum, but I'm a big upland/waterfowl hunter.  This year is my first time turkey hunting so it's something new to me.  I'm a student at Central Washington University and also play on the football team so I've only been able to go out the last couple weekends, and have only heard a few gobbles that unfortunately came from private property.  I've been out off Reecer, up to Liberty, off both Cooke Canyon and Wilson Creek Roads, but I was just wondering if anyone had any advice or could help me out with some spots around the Ellensburg area.

Thanks for any input.

put your letterman jacket on and go start knocking on doors or farmhouses, local football player will get WAY more opportunities than a coastie like me in camo. :bash:

I graduated from there a couple years ago. Sounds like your hitting up all the right spots. Always had more luck/saw more turkey's in reecer creek and liberty areas than in cooke or coleman.
