Sorry to hear and hope the little bugger pulls through :(
-
sorry to hear, stay with the program the vet has laid out. she can make it.
we had a Sheppard get into some salmon skin some jack ass through over a fence into a f'n dog park!
she was in bad shape for several days, but made it through. lots of chicken broth, medications, and love.
good luck!
-
good luck- hope he pulls out of it!
-
Just happened to our chocolate a few months ago.
-
I had it happen to a couple of my dogs years ago. Both pulled though fine. It can be beat, just hang in there.
-
the bad thing is the vet was chasing his tail trying to figure out what was wrong. Did a stool sample saturday but the said it was just worms by last night he was really bad, wont touch food and drinks very little.. going to diffrent vet first thing tomorrow morning for IV fluids maybe.. funds are getting very low, hitting my pocket book pretty hard, wife asked when is enough, I feel I owe it to him do do everything I can for him, but feel a hard decision may be coming my way. The whole family is pretty tore up about the whole thing....
-
What did the vet say was the prognosis for your pup if it recieves treatment?
-
I sure hope the pup pulls through
-
just said it could go either way , seen dogs that looked good not make it and dogs that looked bad pull through. fingers are crossed but in my heart i dont feel good about how this will end up...
-
I hope the little dude pulls thru.
-
hope he is doing better, hang in there elk.
-
Dang Elk.....that sucks big time. Think positive thoughts. Dogs feel stuff like that. Stay close to her and she WILL be fine!!!
Good luck!
-
Hows the pup?
-
Had him on IV fluids all day yesterday to get him hydrated. I was up avery couple hrs to feed him little bits of food and water using a syringe, He is stilll very week but this this morning I did not have to manually feed him he ate from his bowl..
-
Glad things are looking up. Poor little dude.
-
Wow...if he ate on his own things must be getting better! My lab got salmon poisoning when she was about 2 years.... I could tell she was feeling bad and thought maybe a game of fetch would pull her out of her slump, so I picked up the dummy and she didn't even get off her bed.... I immediately took her to the vet, cause that dog would much rather have been dead than not played fetch!
SHe made it to play fetch many more days....
Good Luck ELK!!! We are all pulling for the little guy!
-
Elk... wassup? He pull through? :dunno:
-
Yep. He Made it.. Took a big hit to the pocket book though....
-
good to hear, sorry about the wallet, but happy kids are priceless. :IBCOOL:
-
That pocket book thing is a tough pill to swallow.... Well, Im sure glad he's ok! You'll recover from the $$ pains....
-
Glad to hear he made it. Hope the little dude becomes a great hunter.
