I was going over the 2010 Elk Harvest Report. It breaks it down by game unit. I saw that on the East side in unit 251, Mission, that they harvested 34 cows and 24 bulls. I can only find where they give 3 any bull tags, and no cow tags in the game laws. So how did they get that many cows and bulls? Same thing in the Colockum. They showed cows as well, but no tags given out. Am I just blind, or am I missing something?

Maybe those "extra" animals were taken during the general seasons?

Could it be masterhunters maybe?

Could be master hunters in damage control hunts. But I can not find any general season for cows in those units.

Look at the "Malaga" Elk Area permits. That area is in the Mission GMU.

Since we are on the subject of harvest reports, I have a question, what does "multiple weapons" mean? Are they talking about multi season or what?
-
I think it's any animal that gets tagged with a multi-season tag. I don't know why they do it that way. They should just count them for the season in which the animal was taken.

Ok, thats what I thought. I guess it is their way to track how the multi tags are working :dunno:
