Title: Bighorn thumbhole stock
Post by: TRB on May 04, 2011, 10:39:53 PM: I am thinking of switching my order from the straight stock to the thumbhole version. Any thoughts and or experiences?

Never-Ever thought i would like a thumbhole... Times change and they make you more consistent...

Post by: nontypical176 on May 05, 2011, 07:57:22 PM: Not as good for a brush gun that you carry and manuever through the thick stuff with both hands. But that grip is nice when trying to get a good hold on your shot. My brush gun is a knight wolverine with a regular stock, and my longer range gun with a sling on it is a bighorn with a thumbhole. I suggest you put a sling on the gun with a thumbhole stock because they feel goofy trying to carry it with your off hand. I also have a peep on my bighorn and open sites on my wolverine.

After shouldering both there was no doubt that the thumbhole stock has a much more natural feel to it when you bring it to your shoulder. To me it just locks in like it was meant to be. :twocents:
