Well :chuckle: it's almost time :IBCOOL: Me and the wife leave Saturday for our home away from home on the south island of New Zealand. I can't wait to get down there and do some hunting. It will also be nice to spend some time with our friends. I will make sure to get some pic's and stories up, when I can find some time 8) I will also try to get some film. So you might get to see some of that later down the road 8) The wife is taking the old trusty t3 lite 270win. I will be packing the trusty x-force :IBCOOL: Got everything all packed up and ready to go! Is it Saturday yet?
:chuckle: :IBCOOL: :chuckle:

I wanted to know the samething...about how much ?

My show special this year was 3950.00 for 5 days and all daily fees includes. For a stag up to 310". Then you have about 1000 in air fare plus some spending money. You can do the whole trip with me most years for about 5k for everything + what ever you want to do after you are done hunting with us for the 5 days. We offer every animal found in nz and they can be added on for the cost of the trophy.
-
Wow, I want to go too!
-
Go get em Matt, can't wait to see the pics and read the story from your hunts. :hunter:

I can help with that when you are ready! I brought plenty of arrows! I wonder what the taxidermist bill would be on him lol

Kia Ora from New Zealand everyone. After a few long flights and some work getting down here, we made it down here safe and sound. After 3 days of hunting we have a few fantastic trophies to show. Pictures will come later. We have put many miles under our feet and a few lbs of meat on our backs. Lot's of hunting left to do and more great times to follow. We will get some pic's up when we get back or get them uploaded from the camera. Lot's of great film along the way as well. I hope to show you our Hunt's at a later date. Maybe on a show or two 8) We were set to be in camp with Craig bottingtons daughter and the American huntress crew. So my wife could hunt with her. They were not able to make it into camp with us but will be down shortly after we leave. Well it's off to bed it's 10pm kiwi time.

Cant wait for the pictures!!

Cmoney that was the tikka t3 lite in 270win. She smacked him at 137y right threw the lungs and then put one more right on top on the first bullet just for insurance. She shot her stag the first trip with the same rifle.
We have started the trip home and got the first and long flight over with. We are sitting in LA right now. We had a 5hr layover in Auckland and now 6hrs here! Yuck! We get to pdx at like 1130 pm and my dad will pick us up tomorrow morning. I have got a lot of stuff to do and a California hog hunt to get worked out. But I will add more pics and stories ASAP.+ a huge write up on my last animal, that is still unreal for me to even think of! 8)

Some of your pics look like the west side of the south island and som eon the east slope of the Alps. Did you hunt two areas?
-
We just hunted on the west side of the south island this time. The other pic's are just in our travels to and from Christchurch threw Aurthur's pass and Porter's pass. We do hunt both sides of the mountains :IBCOOL: Just not this trip. We have about a DZ places on the south island we hunt and about 3 on the North Island.
-
Wow, neat country!
-
That's what I would call a successful hunting trip! Congrats on all the trophy's! Thanks for the great pics
-
I would love to book that trip, is your outfitter still having that special on a 310 stag?
-

if the wife dies, i'm selling everything except one rifle and moving to NZ.

I could sure try for you. Most times that's a only at a show deal but if interested I can find out if they would take it. They are pretty full this coming year but still a couple openings.
