Anyone try the Barnes MRX yet? I am thinking about loading some for 7mm mag.

Not familiar with that bullet.  What's it's claim to fame?

You did originally say MRG, right?  Cuz now it says MRX.

Shoots very similarly to the TSX.  In testing we did w/ my buddies 300 RUM it was tough to tell a difference.  IMO it isn't worth the extra $.  If you were really into shooting a big banger consistently at ranges over 500 yards maaaybe.  But the BC isn't appreciably better so you're really putting a lot of faith in the distributed weight design and extra density at the core.  It makes sense, I just don't know how much practical advantage you're gaining for almost double the $.

It said MPX before. I have been reloading the Tipped TSX but a friend hunts in Idaho and Montana and most his shoots are 500-600 yards so was looking at the MRX.
