Title: .223 Coyote Rounds
Post by: Recurve-Elk on May 16, 2011, 09:58:52 AM
Hey, anybody got a few recommendations for a 223 coyote round?  I am not concerned about the pelt too much, I would rather stop a yote in its tracks.  I know every gun is different so it may take some poking around to find the right one.  I saw some federal power shok in stock at a local hardware store but thats all Ive seen locally anyway.

Here's the stats.  Ill be shooting probably 200 yards or less, using a savage axis xp, 22inch barrel, 1 in 9 twist, with a 3-9x40 scope, and a bipod.  Ive been target shooting with your cheap old PMC 55 grain.  She is putting them where is counts out to 200 yards easy.

Ive shot guns my whole life, yet never hunted with one other than a .22 so ammo is kind of new to me.  Ive always just shot the cheapest stuff I could get.
