So I bought some new strings about six months ago for my mathews, I order them on-line. They are crap I'm having all kinds of peep rotation even after shooting them over and over to get them to stop twisting. I had nock point playing with it for like two hours and I'm still having problems.Plus the serving is allready pulling apart at points on the cams.I have bought about four diffrent kind of strings in the past with the same result except one and that is winners choice and there kind of expensive at 120 for strings. So I need some good advice on some quality string.
Are xxx g stings good?
Do they use Astro flight material or BCY or both.
I was thinking of nock points strings but I don't know.
What about Vapor trails?

Try Nock Point strings!
-
G Strings are excellent strings. Cory will get you fixed up right.
Even with a custom string you will need to shoot a couple hundred arrows then set the peep and you shouldn't have any problem with the peep rotation.
-
A buddy of mine got a nock point string and it had the worst serving seperation I have ever seen. All around both cams He don't shoot that much either. I've been really realltRy pleased with my proline sing.

I have herd a few things like that too but I do know they would try and fix your problem's.But I don't want to deal with that eather though.

Way more shots than a hundred less than six hundred though still have rotation.

Oh I forgot to mention I shot my proline about 10 times put it together started tuning and nothing has budged since. I highly reccomend proline strings and they are very reasonably priced. Can you put your own strings on? If not I may be able to help you out if you just order the strings.

Were do you buy the proline strings? I see some info on Archerytalk saying good things.

Get the G strings.....
-
Micdude,
You can get ahold of him via archerytalk. They may have a website too.
-
Why not a Winner's Choice? Just order one and have the guy at the bowshop put it on for you. Shouldn't have any problems with it.

What custom strings are you shooting that you aren't getting peep alignment with?

I've got a Winner's Choice string on my Z7. Probably have a 1000 shots on it. Great string/cable. No rotation problems at all.

Little expensive for strings
Here are the strings I have bought:
winners choice
Schmidty's Specialty Strings
Zebra strings
Martin Hammerhead strings
Current strings are Game edge and are bad

Seems like simple logic is in order....
"I have bought about four diffrent kind of strings in the past with the same result except one and that is winners choice and there kind of expensive at 120 for strings. So I need some good advice on some quality string."
So how much money do you have into the other three sets?
I think the $120 the WC's cost justify not having to mess around with all the other crap strings you've had issues with and not have to worry.

My Buddy swears on Extreme bow strings what do you guys think?

-
Why try again? Just order XXX or WC.
-
I'm with Muleysniper, if the winners choice works why keep looking ? I actually prefer the winners choice & have good luck with them. Mike
-
I have had good luck with my 60X strings.
-
Winners Choice are expensive, but, you get what you pay for.
-
I just didn't want to spend an extea 50 to 60 more on WC when there has to be some strings just as good :archery_smiley:

You can name your bow Cindy or Mary and tell your buddies that she wears G-Strings :chuckle:
-

I would love G strings from Cory but Or is along way for a string. I buy my bows and such there though. There service rocks compared to my local shop.

bowstrings unlimited sell zebra strings. they are what comes on your mathews from the factory. zebra strings are the originators of the twist technology. bowstrings unlimited have great prices and fast service. to get your string and cable lengths for you mathews go onto mathews website and look for your bow. most likely it will be in the "discontinued". go to specs and you will find the string and cable lengths there. good luck.

I know he would, but then I still have to have some one put it on, do the peep and such. I like the fact that I can take it in and have it all done from the same person I buy the strings from. XXX would be my first choice, but time and gas is allot for just a string.
-
DB will set up your bow if you mail it to him or drop it off hes not just a string maker he will install and set tune and etc>
-
At Wholesale Sports in Federal Way a set of WC strings for your Matthews will set you back $108.05 installed. A WC d loop is $5 more. That includes installing the peep sight and any string silencers or kisser buttons, and a paper test. :IBCOOL:
