3 sets. First set was elk and were about 8 yrds apart. Second set was a sweet deer set about 2 ft. apart. I glassed up the deer shed set from a couple hundred yrds. and on my way across the hillside too them I looked up about half way to the deer sheds and found another elk set laying about 6 yrds apart. A couple of pics from the ground and some more of me holding them in the backyard w/ the future Antler Princess.

Pretty sweet!!!

Some more..

If you ever run out of room at you place. I have a very big garage and I would be happy to hold some for you :chuckle:
-
Looks like an awesome day! That deer shed looks killer!
-
Even more special you found them out in the open. Still, some fold in the hill could have hid them and you could have walked right by if not for sighting the deer antlers. I have never seen a brow tine like that before! A quest buck for the the hunting season!
-
With the weather warming up I have to get after it!!! So much more open country to cover.. The grasses really hide the antlers out there.. Its amazing whats left in places beat by people thoroughly..
-
Got love those elk sheds also.......I would be happy to put one of them down with that head gear.
Nice finds.

Both elk shed sets were the some of the heaviest sheds I've ever held up and packed out... I'd do it again for sure, but they put a hurt on my knees on the way out of the hills.. I couldn't believe the amount of people tracks and 4wheeler sign and to find these was a super bonus.. Just goes to show that even if people pound it before the season and when it opens may 1st, they can't find'em all... Thanks to all...
-
A couple more from that day! I couldn't resist
-
Very impressive. New job has me too busy to be out shed huntin'. Keep up the good work!
-
:yike: Very nice day indeed.
-
That is sweet! :IBCOOL:
I don't know how many times i've spotted an antler and ended up finding more on the way to or back from getting it!
-
Right on buddy those bulls look real familiar. We need to go find the other two that I watched for those few weeks prior to the drop. There is a larger one, seven on the right and a huge whale tail on the left.
-
You no me.. I love them whale tails. I would love to go get my hands on 2 more sets... Text me this weekend for sure..
