Title: Close encounter
Post by: klickriverchromer on May 20, 2011, 10:34:33 PM: Walked up through some thick timber above a noisey creek and looked down through the brush and saw what I thought was a deer laying down. Set down the backpack and got out the camera and looked back down the hill only to see a cougar stairing back at me.. 50yrds. w/ the 18-55mm lense and little time to focus up. But you get the idea.. CLOSE.

I was about say he same thing. Cool picture for sure. A lot of hunters go their entire hunting career without seeing a cougar!
