Oh! but there is a few differences...

The stock is built by another company using a carbon material
The bore is treated with Dyna Tek bore coat for easier cleaning and way less fouling
The breech plugs are the new Lehighs plugs using a far better metal - much easier to clean
The ram rod are now made by Easton and suppose to be stronger

DynaTek Bore Coating
Hardest Clear-coat in the Firearms Industry
Want superior corrosion protection? Want to clean less? Those wishes now come true with the help of DynaTek coatings, a unique corrosion-resistant, ceramic-based clear coat that comes standard on all rifles. Knight continues to rise above the competition by not only treating the barrel's exterior but the barrel's bore as well. This means you can shoot more and clean less! With 50% fewer patches needed to clean your bore, DynaTek not only cuts down your cleaning time but also increases velocity and decreases group size!

  Easton Carbon Core Ramrod
Tired of flimsy ramrods? Knight has partnered with Easton Archery to solve that problem by bringing the same strength found in their Carbon Core Arrows to every ramrod sold with a Knight Rifle. Each ramrod is made with a 7075 Full Metal Jacket Shaft and a high strength Carbon Core. This unique design adds 60% more rigidity to the ramrod making for faster and easier loading.

200 Yard Guaranteed Shot AccuracyWhen you pick up a Knight rifle, you can have confidence that it's the most accurate muzzleloader in the industry. That's why we guarantee a 4-inch 3-shot group at 200 yards with a developed load using a bullet available from Knight. Because sometimes the only thing you can count on is how your Knight will perform.

if'n you are going to look at a new Knight I would suggest that you look at a DISC Extreme with a Western kit installed - that is a legal gun for the the Pacific Northwest States.  Having an Extreme would give you a bunch of extra options that you might use elsewhere, things that the Big Horn does not offer.

Here is Knight DISC with a western kit installed. The kit provides the open cap breech required by the state.  I really prefer #11 mag caps but you can also install a Musket cap nipple, if you prefer a musket cap.

Sabotloader, Good info....thanks. Was the western kit installed by you or can you order it that way?

You would order it as a normal Knight DISC Extreme with a FPJ (full plastic jacket) bolt and breech plug.  Then you would also order a 'Western' breech plug with nipples and switch that out yourself at home.  You use the same bolt for both application.

Here is a picture of the OLD Western Kit which included a additional bolt - you do not need this bolt any longer so the kit would be just the breech plug and nipples.

This might change though I am suppose to be getting a new one in the mail in the next few days.

Remember this is the old kit - the new addaptation is going to be different...
