Anyone know anything about these boots. I saw an ad in Eastmans so checked out their website. They look good, handmade in Italy just not sure how they compare to our high end boots like Kennetrek etc. Good prices with their sale coupled with Eastmans coupon code 50% off! I am tired of wearing out my pronghorns every year. Nwhunter

It looks like like another well-built boot. At 50% off, a guy should try a pair. Not picking on Pronghorns, but if you spend much time in the mountains, the Pronghorn boots won't hold up anywhere near the higher end boots like Kenetrek, Lowa, or Lathrop and Sons. :twocents:

These are great boots. I just ordered a mid-size pair shipped to my house with the discounts mentions for $210. The CEO sent me a message to notify me that my boots were delayed 5 days so he was going to take the $15 shipping charge off and expidite the shipping. We then exchanged a few emails regarding the warrenty which is second to none. Bar none, the most comfortable boots I have ever bought.

It's possible that I need to do a little more digging on their site but they don't show a boot bigger than size 12?
Well that'd ruin the possibility of me ever owning a pair.

The eastmans code was in their last magazine I believe. I had never heard of these boots until I saw the ad. I have a pair on order and have been waiting for 2 weeks to get them. I emailed the guy Friday and I guess they are having trouble getting them into the US right now. He also said it was a mistake for the website to have allowed the eastmans discount code to be combined with the 25% off sale they are already having so guess I got lucky to get the 50% off! I told him if the boots are good I will be his best salesman! If they have the comfort of a pronghorn but will last a few more years and not leak I will be a happy guy. Can't wait to get them and I will post my review soon I hope.nwhunter

I wish I would have seen this thread a couple of days ago.....camofire had them on sale for $129 just a couple of days ago. They look like really well designed, itallian made boots, but I couldn't find any reviews so I pass on pulling the trigger.

Wish I could help. But, the only Crispi Boots I've ever worn were due to falling asleep with my feet too close to the fire :bdid:.

They look like good boots. The company looks like it's been around since 1975 which is always promising for a shoe company. Plus they're made in Italy which will impress the wife. :chuckle: If the Eastman coupon still works, I may have to try a pair. Has anyone ever bought boots or shoes from shoemall (http://www.shoemall.com/b/naturalizer-shoes)?

The Hanwags are because they make boots to size 15.

I don't need 15 or 16...I do need 13 though and per that website, Crispi doesn't make a boot in size 13.
Seems kinda silly to me. Maybe the petite guys are a little more able in the mountains they assume.

I ware a 13 in most brands as well. That is kinda strange they don't make anything bigger. I also just saw a ad a day or 2 ago on eastmans show about them.

I finally got my crispi boots and tried them out. Keep in mind I have only had pronghorns in the past and love the comfort of those just not how I wear them out every year. When I put these boots on they defenitely have a different feel as far as stiffer and the sole is harder. So now we have gone from petite to stiffer and harder!! The front of the boot kind of ramps up so your toes are off the ground it seems like which is a defferent feel than pronghorns but after I wore them a bit I got used to it. THey have great support around the ankle and toe area so no slippage for me at least. I just wore them around town and costco so havent really tested them yet as I wanted to be sure I would like them before I lost the return option. The insole is pretty firm and I may get a more comfortable insole and see if that helps. They look a lot like kenetrek hard scrabbles I think and I assume the quality is real similar but maybe a better price. Speaking of price I got an email saying I shouldnt have gotten the eastmans discount on top of there already 25% off sale which gave me 50% off total but they did honour the price so mine were like $225 with shipping. Now if I just had a BLues hunt to go on I could really give a solid test critic this fall!

Seems like a good deal. They have a descent return policy? I'm just sketchy ordering boots online then not liking the feel.

Ya I was worried about that too. The dealer is in Bend Oregon and he said as long as I didnt scuff them up he would take them back. Problem is walking in costco isnt much of a test drive .

thats what you get for orderign italian, itialian guys are petite. I know, been there and seen it myself. Whole bunch of petite purse wearing arm pit shavers. :yike:

So I took my new boots for a hike today to give them a real test. Hiked into a lake in the Olympics about 2.5 miles with a pretty good climb to get up there. Fished for several hours standing in water part of the time and hiked out. I would have never stood in the water in my pronghorns because I know I would have wet feet on the way out. The Crispi's are impressive, bone dry feet and I think they are plenty broke in as there was never a hint of a hot spot and they are basically fresh out of the box. So far I am pleased. nwhunter

I've worn mine for two hiking trips for a total of 12 miles and I couldnt ask for a better boot. Great price, $220, and even better comfort than my previous cabelas boot that were similiar in price. Get'em while you can! :tup:

Just ordered a pair, they were 25% off on the site. Selected models only. I was torn between them and kenetreks, but the Crispi boots are half the weight! Talked with the distributed in Oregon today and he swears there as durable. Should be here next week!

The holse in my other boots werent getting any smaller and they werent getting any more water proof so I might have stopped by my local Meindl dealer today and made my feet happy.
