Here is a bear face that slipped so bad due from not cooling it down and poor field care. It was a first bear so wanted it mounted still. It was a closed mouth form and alter to a slightly open mouth.

Wow what a difference

Nice

I thought "What the heck would you mount that for?" Then I scrolled a little further down and saw the rest of the pics.
Wow!!! What a difference. Looks great.

Great save, nice pose.

Wow muley, you sure did a nice save on that one. I sure like the white V on his chest. What did that bear weigh? Good Job! John
-
Thanks everyone for all the nice compliments. I'm glad that one was over talking about stress. John the bear weighed around 175 lbs. with that v on the chest was a big reason also for wanting it still mounted.

I bet you were stressed... :chuckle:
good save....

Did you add hair or just paint it? Looks great! It is amazing what can be done with wildlife art.

Muley awesome job on saving that one. I have been learning as a taxidermist you got to know how to fix things. I got a mule deer in and the guy actually cut the entire ear off. Brought it to me in a bag. It was one of those moments. Where all I could do was LMAO.
Once again great save.
