Title: SMall Game Tips
Post by: curtmdavis on June 01, 2011, 01:22:31 PM
What heads have worked well for you guys as far as stopping rabbits in their tracks? Keeping them out of the garden this spring, and I don’t need one cruising over to the neighbor’s place, like last night with my arrow in em. Using judo type knockoffs right now, did some informal testing with old stuffed toys, and seemed like they pack a wallop, really sent the toys flying. Anyhow, small rabbit and a good solid hit ran off with it into the brush.  I’ll try to recover when I get home this afternoon, but would have thought that with that kind energy these things deliver it would have pinned it down.  :bash:

Most times judo's work very well for knocking small game down. The other options is the blunts, I have never liked them and found judos to work way better. You could also find some adder points and put them behind field points.

I have had good luck with Judo's and dont notice much of a difference in accuracy up to about 30 yards and plenty lethal.  After that my groups kinda fall apart.  I have not tried the bladed small game tips as most of the time I am shooting into rocks and stuff when shooting at rabbits and grouse.

the g5 small game head stop them in thier tracks, accruate at 30 yards( havent finished testing yet past there weather not helping)  but, if your hope to eat afterwards make sure you get a good shot cause it will gut them for you if not.
