My customer had this shelf specifically made for a cat. After 3 unsuccessful hunts he finally connected on this B.C. tom. I made a custom rock base and had to customize this cougar form to be looking at the bar area of his trophy room. The original form had a closed mouth so I installed a change out head and added this wide open mouth snarl. While setting at the bar, the more you drink the meaner he looks :chuckle:Elkstuffer your the man ... that is beyond awesome .!!

I have an entry closet that's part of the vaulted living/dining/kitchen area and the closet has a flat shelf on top of it. Open to all 4 sides. The closet has a power outlet inside of it. When the day comes I finally get a kitty, that's where it's going and with a similar style of pose. I'm gonna put him on a shallow mount rotisserie type thing and have it remote controlled. When people come in the door I can click the spin feature. :chuckle:

Are you talking about the whitetail buck in Bucklucky's Avatar? If so, then yes, he did it. He had a thread on here a little while back with a few detailed closeups of that buck. I agree, it is extraordinary work... :tup

Elkstuffer, you may want to enter that in a competition. Did you do all the "competition quality stuff" to it?
I did use competition quality eyes, earliners and mouth piece however the cat itself wouldn't be considered a competition quality specimen. He had way too many battle scars from "tough love" I presume. If I had cut all of them out and repaired them the cat would have looked too skinny in places and just wouldn't have looked right.

I've gotta add to what everyone else has said too, that cat is very nice. I'm very critical of most cats but I've gotta say that your work on this one is top notch. The face definitely "looks right" and by saying looks right, it's awesome. Phil Soucy has some competition!
[/quote...yeah their are a few good taxidermist out their and only a couple pay close attention to detail .. Like a cats eyes are the main focus on a cat mount and he nailed it ....plus the base work is awesome too !!
