Title: NAPThunderheads in Walmart??????
Post by: windygorge on June 12, 2011, 05:03:35 AM
I have seen it all folks.  dont' know when it happened, but walmart now carries the NAP thunderhead broadheads.  muzzy's i can understand, but thunderheads don't deserve it.  when did they go on mass market like that or have i been living under a rock like most say i do.  WTH!!!  my saying to most who use muzzy broadheads is, "if you can get it at walmart, then its cheap".  now what do i say.  i can't exactly backpedal now.  crap!!  maybe i will email the NAP pres and tell him to remove all thunderheads from walmart shelves immediately!!!

I think NAP has fallen behind with their TH's in market share and Wally World is a good place to get some of it back for them. Not that TH's are cheap or crappy heads as far as I'm concerned they still have a good BH they just don't fit the profile of what folks are looking for in a BH any more. It always surprises me how many people I see using those crappy Allen BH's that WalMart sells so hopefully the NAP will take that place and those folks will buy the quality of NAP instead.

That's what I have used for years. What would you consider a step up from the TH that has the same flight. The reason that I have always hunted with them was they flew true and straight for me. I would like to find something else that others would consider a step up form the TH and still flies the same??

Sorry, but i don't get on the Walmart hate wagon. They've got some good and some bad, but the prices are usually the best for either. If you like THs, buy them where they're cheapest.

I agree with pianoman buy them where they're cheap. I used to wait for Joes ( when they were still around ) to have their TH sale every year to buy mine. Got them as cheap as 19.99 at Joes not sure what Walmart sells them for.

I don't care where I get my BH as long as it's reasonably cheap.  The current price of BH is ridiculous.

I used to do the same thing. Had so many Im just ready to buy more this year. And I was wondering where a poor whiteboy could get some cheap TH's. Ive killed plenty of animals with them and have always had straight flight, and good performance. Put one through both front shoulder blades of a doe, and out the other side and was still good enough to shoot. Not like those Allen's! I was even more poor my first year bowhunting, and bought the Allens's. Had two of them explode inside a doe and was picking out little blade chunks for ever!
