I picked up a copy used and Half-price books. It's okay. It depends on what you're looking for. There's good info on species in the state. But you can find that on line too. There's some info on places to stay in whatever regions you plan to hunt. There's much ado about hunting over dogs if I remember correctly which is fairly common and to be expected in bird hunting books.

There's a whole series that cover several different states. I got the Arizona wingshooters done before we stayed at the in-laws in Mesa. That, was very helpful as foar as preparing for terrain that I am not used to.

They're fairly inexpensive if you look for 'em used. I wouldn't say they are excellent, but they're worth having around.

Hope that helps.

I own a copy and to be honest, I don't think it's worth the money. A WA Atlas & Gazeeter is a better investment; along with studing the WDFW website. The Wingshooter's Guide To WA only really gives county lodging information and not any real useful info. on public hunting areas.

I agree with the other comments if you are familiar with WA State birds and are looking for info on public lands etc.  However, if you are like me and are a transplant from the Midwest it is a pretty good book as a starter.
