Any of you guys ever hunted the Gardner for whitetail. I seen a bunch on private . Seemed like all I seen were muleys and bears when I was there.

All of the whitetails I saw were on private in the river bottoms

That's the same thing I saw. I just was curious if they showed thier faces on public ground at all. I bet it would be a tough hunt if you didnt have private ground to hunt.

A few years ago I had the late Gardner tag. It was unusually warm so one day after an early morning glassing I went up the Twisp river road Between Canyon creek road and Little Bridge creek road to try rattling in a Whitetail on public land. Sure enough I rattled in a nice 4x4 (120ish) but I had my heart set on a Mulie. They are there on public land and moving more and more up that drainage.

I have been hunting Twisp river for years and have seen them clean up around North creek ...Never any big ones just little 3 an 4 pointers ... I love hunting this area ... no hunters and you best be part billy goat to hunt it ... :chuckle: :chuckle:

We seem to chew up alot of common ground! Just got back from camping at South creek. Saw more bucks down low than usual. Alot of snow up there still.
