I think you already know, but if your looking for a pat on the back....it's a great spot bucks are in the batchlor groups now will be interesting to see how it changes as the seasons turn. But looks like you'll have no problem tagging out on a decent buck congrats
-
NO! Better send me the coordinates so I can make sure noone else wastes their time in there.
:chuckle: :chuckle:

:yeah:

um..... yeah
-
no it isnt a very good spot but if you can tell me where abouts that youare then i can go out and investigate a little further and then i will be able to give you a better answer, its just to tough to tell by trailcam pix... :dunno:
-
Yeah I know its good but we will see during late season where they are, this is only a pic of four bucks but actually we have 7 that keep coming into our feeders daily, I had 166 pics over two weeks
-
I was leery about what you were feeding them until I seen that one buck trying to shove the other with his hoof and then it hit me. Your feeding them crack and their all strung out now. :chuckle: :chuckle:
Serious note, that's a heck of a spot and now you have a starting point for this fall. Good luck
-
Good batch of young bucks for sure and one that is a piebald, I see the white on hie hind quarter.
-
I would say you will probably notch a tag there
-
Hey charlie inteterested in a pie bald cape?

:chuckle: You gona try to kill him ?
-
Maybe I have a month late muzzy season, whatever steps out first kris is letting me use his summit vipor tree stand
-
You got any does comming onto that spot? I bet you will have some good action come rut time.
-
Oh yes lots of does
-
But I've already claimed the piebald.
-
Cant claim it if you shoot a mule in ewa
-
If I shoot a muley then he's a seed buck for next year.
-
Personally Id let that piebald grow for a couple more years. Too bad he didnt have more white like my wifes though.
-
I've been on the fence about that. I think it would be cool as hell to see him breed some of the does out there and get more piebalds. But then I was also thinking it would be cool to have him hanging on the wall. :dunno: Perhaps his offspring will have more white then he has.
-
Here is the first picture I got of the piebald. You can see how much he's grown in the last 2 months.

Looks like you have a couple nice bucks! good job :)
-
Mason City- Really nice pics! I've got a question for you, no need to give any specifics about location but I was wondering what general "type" of area do you have your cam set up in. It looks like its on a big flat. Is that a big bench on a hillside? I found a swampy area that was about 3/4 the way up a hillside on a bench, that was the only spot I seem to be able to get deer fairly conistently on my cam and I sure havent had bachelor groups like you. Are you generally finding the deer down low or up a little higher?
-
down low like very low, this area is just flat, inside timber edge from a clear cut
-
Hey, who's dumping garbage in front of your camera?!?! :chuckle:
Never really been a fan of baiting, especially when leaving plastics etc. behind, but it looks like you've got some bucks in the area. Neat the one has some piebald too, good luck with them this fall, should be able to bump into one of them at the least!
-
Nice!!!! I don't think it's a piebald..... I think it scars from the beatings he's taken!!!!
-
Nice Work Mike. Are you gonna be hunting in a tree stand?
-
ya my buddy has a vipor tree stand for me to borrow, i have a tree already marked out with about a 40 yard shot. also i wouldnt call it garbage if i pack it in and pack it out :twocents:
-
Great looking spot and yes looks like a good blacktail spot. Good luck on the piebald, I too would like to see him grow a couple of more years!

I know, was just giving you a hard time. I hate it when I see man made stuff in the woods though. I like it to be as much of a 'wild' experience as possible.

I might have to sit in that stand first to make sure it's a place I would be willing to let you put it up. :chuckle:
Kris
-
we might be able to work something out :chuckle:

Miike,
Good luck there during the season. As soon as they start rubbing the velvet off poof they vanish into thin air and you have a bunch of does until rub comes around.
