ok this one has got me stumped, recently increased the poundage on my bow by 7 lbs, that is it no other adjustments went out and shot it and now I am hitting 2 inchs to the left? So I try to adjust sight still two inches to the left cannot get it to move over. I sprayed down a arrow with tinactin to see if it was making contact and it came out clean. cams are in time. anyone have a idea of whats going on here?

Just a guess, i am no way an expert in bow tuning diagnositcs..

With increase poundage can change ones form at least i know mine breaks down a little and my groups get a little bigger.

my groups are still tight 5 out out 6 arrows are touching fletchings at 40yd and the thing that really throws me is at 30 I'm two inches off and at 40 two inches off.. :bash: I havent been able to shoot marmots in two weeks now 1st week buddy was tied up and second week he wanted to go but I couldnt figure this out..

Did you back it off the 7 pounds and retry to see if it went back to "normal"?
And like whacker said, maybe a form thing with the added draw weight, you need to eat your wheaties...

I have an older bow that i was trying to paper tune... I cranked it up to the max 70lbs and it shot slightly tighter groups, but the sweet spot moved 6 in to the R ! :yike: I don't have enoughtravel in my sight to make it group there... :bash: I have heard that newer bows shoot more consistant over the whole range of poundage where as older bows shoot better maxed out.. I sugguest move the site over or drop the poundage back...

its a spine issue probably an increase or decrease in 7lbs will make a world of difference on what spine you need. left and rights are spine releated assuming everything else is right.

I agree that it sounds like an arrow spine issue. Have you checked it through paper to see what the arrows flying like?

havent taken it back to the shop for paper tune yet.. my range set up at my house I cant paper tune at.. so maybe new arrows... think I can live with that..

Spine issue would be my first guess. What arrows and poundage are you shooting now?

Shoot through a hole cut in a cardboard box with some xmas paper over it if you want to paper test at home. I agree, though, spine is the problem. Until you get it figured out, just aim 2" right of the marmot and go hunt.

if you shoot 2 arrows do they hit the same spot ? if they do then your bow is in tune ! if they do hit the same spot try moving your arrow rest in ... it will not take much and you will be on again ... once you tune your bow at a certain weigh and change it you may need to retune it or like they said above you may need to go alttle heavier on the arrow weight... but I would move the rest in just alittle and you problem will go bye bye but make sure your fletching is clearing the riser . by moving the rest in 1/8 of an in. will make a huge difference !!

shooting 340 spine easton axis out of a mathews monster @ 70lbs .. I have room on the sight to move it but when I move the sight it is not moving on the target.. atleast to the right that is it will move more to the left..

did you move your sight the right way? If you are shooting left move your sights left.

friend brought over some diff arrows to try, turned it back up and on target. So thank you to everyone for their advise it was the arrows. I guess really aggressive cams+ 70lbs = need heavier shaft than what the box says.

yep! a monster at 70lbs would be close to a .300 by guesstimation. when your looking for new arrows let me know i will run your specs thru archers advantage.

wierd. I'd have to say that it's with the way it was set up initially. Just like the big box stores, not everyone with a blue shirt on is an expert at what they sell
