...Well then I've got a deal for you. Lol...
But seriously, I go up to the Mountains most every weekend During the season.
Lots of time I just fly up there by myself. Sooo... I've got room for 1 or 2 guys who would be interested in shooting their first Bird (also tastiest bird they ever shoot).
Kinda just a tag along deal. So hit me up if your serious.
Also would be willing to take new hunters/kids up for their first taste of shooting a bird.
Or could help maybe show any Dads where to take their kids for a good trip.
I live in Bremerton.
Just throwing that out there... :)

Thats a kind offer you put out there BiggLuke!!
-
Well, what can I say... That's pretty much the best way to pass on our sport, right?
-
I give you a pat on the back for that offer if I was not so busy lately I would take you up on the offer. Seen alot of gouse but only really took one home. They do taste good.
-
um... dude... They don't open till Sept. 1....
-
This will be my third season hunting grouse. Does that count as new? I've only taken 3 birds total. do you hunt over dogs? I've never done that with grouse. I'd definitely be interested in checking out new areas if you're interested in some company. September in right around the corner!
-
Would love to get out and do some grouse hunting....We went last year with pretty poor results, but the area was worked over pretty well by 1 of the locals......
-
Im really new to hunting and never went for bird or ate game bird after killing it hahaha. Im really interested.
-
I am REALLY interested in going Grouse hunting. I have tried to do it when I am out Elk and Deer hunting, but it really never seems to work. I live in Gig harbor and usually hunt deer WAY out in Wynoochee. So any place closer than that would be AWESOME! I have only been hunting for 4 years (2011 is my 5th). I have a Rem 870 3 1/2. Shoot me a PM if the offer is still up!
Thanks,
Kris

-
I'd be up for it! I'm not new to hunting but I've never got any grouse!
-
Really? you've never shot a grouse?

nope mostly squirrels & deer (in TN) for me so far haven't really hunt any birds cuz growing up I didn't really have anyone to take me hunting (my dad thought it was a waste of time) kinda learn all on my own and I didn't have a shotgun so when I went to the woods it was either with a .22 (squirrel/rabbit) or my 30-30 or a bow(for deer) Since I moved out here I have really only had time to hunt for mulies but this year I'm gonna try real hard for bear. I hunted for elk here once during modern down by Mt St Helens and after I lost count at 500 trucks going up the mountain :yike: and no seeing a dang animal I haven't gone back I will prolly try it again some day but not till I have time and money to properly scout the eastside (screw the wetside during modern I don't like barrels pointed at me all day).

Bad news is you will have two barrels pointed at you on the East side. Pretty crowded over there too. Going to be a real mess this year with all the road closures.

I guess I'll pass then but still two is better than 500+ seriously I was afraid an elk was gonna walk out above us and we would get mowed down by the firing squad above

Where in TN did you live? I moved here from TN in 2001, Knoxville area
-
Sparta which is half way between Nashville and Knoxville moved here in 2008
-
Good to have another "redneck" here

I'm not new to hunting, nor to grouse - although the grouse I used to hunt were in northern Maine. I grew up there and hunted every fall for partridge and whitetail deer. I've been living in WA for 11 years now and I hunt whitetail and mulies in Eastern, WA now with some friends.
I'm located in Silverdale and would love to chat with ya sometime. Been a long time since I shot a partridge, or grouse. :)
Shoot me a PM if interested in meeting sometime to chat.

I have been trying to go out for about 3 years deer or upland bird hunting and have never seen anything. I would enjoy the opportunity to go with someone who is experienced!
-
saw one today but I didn't want to blast it with the 30-30....
-
ha... good thinking.
