Title: My dad finally drew Dayton!

Rifle tag 1016 is the elk area. Thanks I will enjoy it with or without a kill!

If that includes the wind farms you have to go and watch a video to get permission, just a heads up.

Post by: steen on July 08, 2011, 11:05:28 AM: The cow tag is a perfect way to scout for your future bull tag. You'll get to know the unit, the road system and be better prepare for weather and terraine. Take the time to scout and not just shoot and haul it home you will be glad you did.

For sure that is a big part of the trip for sure. I have been in the unit a bit but there is still lots to learn if I ever do draw. Chances are I may never draw. All I can do is keep on trying. 13 points and counting.

He tends to get around a lot better before he makes the kill, that's for sure! :chuckle:
