Post by: whitey on July 08, 2011, 07:07:06 PM
Need some help here.
I have a down rigger I want to install on this boat. Its a Scotty 1050c depthmaster.
What mount would work on this application?
Do You all make one or is there a mount they sell that will work.
If you have made one do you have pictures.
Thanks for the help, silvers and pinks are on the way and I want to be ready.

Do you have benches or box seats in your boat..........either way you can take a piece of aluminum sheet metal and secure it to the gunnel then bend it at 90 degrees and secure to bench or seat box.....bend it so there is a flat horizontal surface large enough for the DR mount then 90 degrees down to the seat......use stainless screws, bolts, nuts and you should be in business....If you have anymore questions, I am sure I can draw something up for you.

I have the same boat.  I just installed the mounting platform on the top of the rail with inside support drilled to the side on the back half of the boat.  Works perfect.  Just remember to use stainless steel everything.

Scotty makes a clamp on mount if you dont want to drill.

Scroll a little way down the page and you can see all the scotty mounts
