Title: Sierra Pro Hunter
Post by: C-Money on July 08, 2011, 08:31:39 PM: Wife and I got some Sierra Pro hunter bullets today in 140gr for her 7mm-08. Anyone have any thoughts on the Pro Hunter? We are going to see how they shoot, just for fun. We are happy with the Accubond 140, but we just want to see how the Pro Hunter bullet shoots.

hahaha Bob I agree ... we shot alot of Sierra bullets when I was growing up ....loved them to shoot groundhogs .... :chuckle: :chuckle: could blow them off the map !!!!

They did fine for elk, not eaxactly the terminal performance I'd have loved, so switched him to Nosler partitions, but they killed everything they hit and shot well also.

The 180gr and 200gr Sierra Gameking have been made for decades with a tapered jacket designed for .308 bore magnum cartridges. The old Sierra manual has nice bullet descriptions for type, weight, caliber and intended purpose. I am not sure if the newer editions have this info.
