Wife and I got some Sierra Pro hunter bullets today in 140gr for her 7mm-08. Anyone have any thoughts on the Pro Hunter? We are going to see how they shoot, just for fun. We are happy with the Accubond 140, but we just want to see how the Pro Hunter bullet shoots.

Growing up, that's all we ever used. We killed lots of animals before I read they're not very good. ;)

All I shoot in my Win M70 7-08 are 140 SPHs over Varget. VERY accurate combo.

Fremont, ever blast an elk with the 140 from your 7-08?

we've put the game kings down the tube a few times. Most guns they were very accurate, jut my wife's that didn't like them so back to the sellier and belliot.

I've had real good luck with them.

Very accurate bullet for the money.

I know lots of guys who shoot them and love them. Never tried them myself.

At 7mm-08 speeds they will be great. I have taken two antelope with them out of a 6.55X55 with one passing through and the other a nice mushroom.

I loaded them (sierra pro hunters) hot for my Dad's 300 weatherby with a 200gr pill. They did fine for elk, not eaxactly the terminal performance I'd have loved, so switched him to Nosler partitions, but they killed everything they hit and shot well also.

The 180gr and 200gr Sierra Gameking have been made for decades with a tapered jacket designed for .308 bore magnum cartridges. The old Sierra manual has nice bullet descriptions for type, weight, caliber and intended purpose. I am not sure if the newer editions have this info.
