Probably around $1500 - $1600. I also purchased 4 more packs of the G5 Montecs and another dozen Beeman ICS Hunter arrows. I have a new Trijicon archery site coming as well, so that will be close to $500 alone. It adds up fast.

I'm right around $1000 with everything. My goal was to be out the door around $500....should have never shot a high end bow.

I am at 1300 with everything. My wife has the camera or I would post my Hoyt.

please define the screwing over part. Seems like a $2500 dollar setup to me...........

Post by: bloodhound on August 28, 2011, 10:35:30 PM: doesn't to me, bow retails at 1200 and i don't see 1300 worth of gear sitting there so i sure hope there's stuff not in the picture. i mean unless the sight was 300, the arrows were 300, the broad heads were 300, the quiver was 100, the rest was 250, and the stabilizer was 250. so yah if that all you bought i think you got screwed.

By the way here's a break down Arrows $140 a doz cut wraped 4 fletched g nocks will say $200 a dozen, sight $230, Quiver $140, Stab $100 Release $90, $100 for the arrow rest, Bow will say $1,300 after tax so that's? $2160 so really probably into it closer to 3K if your that intrested. Not starting anything or jackin a thread so lets keep them rollin!!!

In the second picture I frankenstein'ed a sight that i can reach out and touch 170 yards. I love practicing shooting long range.

I think about 11 months, but that was 5-6 years ago. I had Norm build each of my son's a recurve when they graduated high school and the wait was around 13 months. He gets swamped with orders for target bows from Europe, those guys all want 40# bows.

what your not factoring in is a summers worth of stump shooting and how many arrows you chew up and how many more you will have to build. or the fact that once you get one stick bow, many more are soon to follow. and then there is all the money invested during adventures in bow building. its a horrible addiction I tells ya.
