i have a t/c 58cal big boar traditional. it came with the cheesy wood one. it work for a couple years, intell i went to make sure it was still a tack driver and the end came off when i was loading it :dunno: cant seem to fix it so its time for a new one. went to cabelas and wholesale sports and looked on midway usa and nobody had what i wanted. i dont want a wood one and im assuming it needs to be made by t/c. its 26and a half inches long. can any body help me out on where to go or what to buy

Just get one of the synthetic ones and cut it to your desired length....

what about the ends do u glue em what do u use to cut them

A hacksaw works good for cutting carbon-fiber rods. 5-minute Epoxy good for gluing ends on.

The ends on the newer ram rods are screw on..... So you can inter change cleaning tips and such.... I have the one my rifle came with..... I ONLY use it in the field to reload after a shot.... I have another that's a lot longer that I use for sighting in and cleaning...... I call it the range rod...... Get two..... Leave the one in the gun alone until you need it in the field.... :twocents:

I use an aluminum ramrod. I don't like the noodly flexibleness of the carbon ones. I drilled a 16 penny sized hole in the end to be able to pull it if I had a tight cleaning patch or need to pull a bullet. That way I don't have to use pliers.

Sounds like a personal problem. :chuckle:
