Hey Ray, that is almost as big as that trout that I got at mineral lake with you last week. :P
-
I would love to try that looks like a heck of a time!!
-
The pics don't do that fish justice! It's a monster! I have shot a ton of fish, when I grabbed the line I said oh SH$* ! It is a dandy fish. The weather was messing with us but we got a good break for a few hours. Ray did outstanding for his first time and got to shoot one of the biggest carp I have seen. It was a great day!
-
Is that Rock Creek by chance?
-
You know it! My back yard.
-
I love the whole Klickitat County area........(except for the ticks). :chuckle:
Good job on the carp, Ray.
-
I hate them 2! Rattlers are bad in that area as well. I know you and Bobcat have stomped around over here a little I love it here.
Dam carp were deep today. It was pretty cold for awhile with rain and wind. We got a nice break and he smacked his toad! Wish they would have been up on the surface more. Lots of shots, but the deep ones are hard to shoot and we stuck a ton that we did not land. Just to deep to get really good penetration on them and the arrows would come out in the fight. A great day on the water with my buddy.
-
Those are some big carp there!!
What depths were you shooting?
Using a Hatfield recurve?
I have to get out
-
Wow that one is a pig! Looks like a lot of fun.
MS
-
Most were 1-3 feet. It was colder and they were just deep and swimming today. A few poped up but not many.
-
Sweet pics, looks like you had an awesome time...
-

Mulehunter. :)
-
Looks like a good shoot!! Nice job
-
i dont know jack diddly about bow fishn but i do know a couple of places with more carp than you can shake a stick at, use to catch the crap outta them on doe balls and garlic but i always turned them loose, they arent good eatn are they?
-
I guess it depends on what your taste buds tell ya :chuckle: I know that some people eat them. They do a lot of harm to sport fish eggs like bass, blue gill, catfish etc. It's good to take out as many as one can.

is there a limit on how many carp you can kill in a day
-
Nope no limit, no season, no license needed  One thing fish and wildlife has done right!
-
YEAH BUDDY ....Love the recurve ....

Oh man, those pictures take me back to my youth in Wisconsin. Man that's a blast. That is a monster.

I think we are headed to rufus the last week in July and I am going to have to kill a few then  should I advertise that on here .... :chuckle: :chuckle:

there was a time when my dad took me to this pond, we always called it petes pond, but anyways the water got real low that year and created a damn so on the little side of the pond the carp were trapped in about a foot of water, well we broke down a few rapalas for there treble hooks and just had a blast snagn carp and chunkn them on to the bank we ended up with 43 carp and by the time we had left there a few ratcoons going to town on them, i was 9 or 10 at the time so you can imagine hookn into a 10 lb carp at that age, dudes it was a blast, i should get a bow and go back there cause that looks like alot of fun
