Title: Fifth Wheel camper heater question.
Post by: C-Money on July 17, 2011, 06:23:30 PM
I am new to the world of camping with a fifth wheel. I am wondering about my propane heater. It blows hot air like a champ when i have electric hooked up for the fan motor to run. My question is, when I am in the woods without an electric hook up, can I still run the heater with out a blower fan? Do I need a generator to run to the heater fan? Anyway, thanks for the tips.  Corey

You shouldn't need a gen.
The blower should be an AC/DC motor.  :)

Un plug your 110 power it and fire it up and see what happens.

Fan should run of the battery. It will run the battery down fast if you run the heater though. I have a small generator that I have to run everyday when out in cold weather to keep the batteries charged up.
