ok so i was in the mood to make some new gear for my bow.
im cheap and this is a sweet setup i got going now. total of $281.33 into the bow now. that includes the bow, rest, arrows, peep, sight...you get the picture lol.
ok so i started this stabalizer the same way i did the sts i made (check other thread if you havent seen it already)
3" 5/16th bolt, cut the head off
cut a 3" piece of graphite fishing pole the right diameter to fit very snug around the bolt. then i cut a second piece of graphite fishing pole to fit over the previous piece that is on the bolt...
took a 6" piece of 1/2 pvc pipping and fit it over the graphite. it took some electrical tape to get a nice snug fit.
then i had a "fat cheese" bmx handlebar grip. these grips work good because of a very soft gooey (sp) main body with a very hard plastic center and stars.
slipped the grip over the pvc pipping.
put everything togather to see how she looked. after i was happy with it i took lead fishing wieght, and jammed it into the stabalizer. it took some scientificly placed tape to get the wieght to not rattle around in the stabalizer.
some super glue in certain scientificly placed stops
and BAM!!! i got myself a very cool, trendy, homemade stabalizer. that balances out my bow perfectly.

I like the sts better than the stabilizer, I don't know about building a stabilizer. The sts saved money because the ones I've seen are expensive for what they are, but the stabilizers are cheap. Neat your building the stuff though. I wouldn't put tassels / streamers coming out of the grip, that would be going to far. Looks like your having fun and thanks for the posts. ( joking about the streamers )

sure you are...now im just gonna have to do it and post a pic lol
i start a new (old job) tomarrow and will end up buying the right stuff. the sts though will stay forsure. it gets the job done very nice.
the stabilizer actually works really good but i want a little bit longer one for hunting.

Job must be going good since we have not seen any of your projects lately. Good luck with the job, don't worry about posting a pic with the tassel because I can fully picture in my mind how funny it would look.

hahaha its about as good as a job can be
i havent thought of anything more to make...the quiver idea fell through only because im just gonna use a hip quiver.
