Found this on Sunday. I looked all over and didnt find any other peels or bear sign. This is only the second one I have seen. Is it bear or porcupine?

the teeth marks are longer less symmetric....porkies look like a rodent short and symmetric bears often leave long shreds of bark porkies leave chips .... those are the two things I notice right away....

Thanks guys. I just dont want to waste anytime chasing bears that are not there. :chuckle: :chuckle:

I'd bet the farm on a porcupine. Looks exactly like every other porkie peel I've seen.
