Hey there I bought a pair of Steiner 8x40 about 10 years ago and have loved them since the day they arrived paid approx $600 for them and worth every penny. Plan on passing them on to my son when the time comes so I can buy a new pair

They are pretty decent glass.I would be all over them for that price.

Yeah they are nice.   A buddy of mine just had a set stolen from his truck and he bought a brand new set to replace them.

I've owned a pair for about 7 years and still love them, you can look through them all day and it they don't bug your vision like cheap glass. For the money that's a great buy.

If you can get the 8x42 up to the 12x42 that is a great buy!

I have the Steiner Peregrine XPs and absolutely love them! In fact I chose to buy them over the Swarovski because the optical quality was identical but the cost was less and the guarantee was identical. Last pair of binos I will ever have to buy.

The Predators were my next choice. I would rank them above the Nikon Monarch and Leupold line but just below the Swaro line (unless you go with the Peregrine).

That is exactly my thinking as well. I am looking at buying some 10x42 and the stieners are the ones I will get. 100 bucks.....if you don't want them, I'll take them.  ;)
