Hello everyone!
I am looking for a good breeder or kennel to find some good yellow or black labs. I would definitely prefer a female over a male. I live in East Wenatchee so anything an hour or so from there would be great. Thank you for any info!

Warren of "Ireland Farms" is up the road from you in Manson. Might want consider his operation. I have a girl out of his dog's. She's 18 weeks old now and coming along fine. He has a posting up in the classifieds. His screen name is Worn.

DO NOT with EMBER RIDGE KENNELS just my opinion

I've never heard of the others mentioned so, I can't comment. Ryan at Long Hollow has great dogs, Lee at WindRiver has great dogs etc. Consider a dog who is already started. Started means the dog has been forced fetched, basic obedience, been introduced to birds and ready to hunt. This is a great way to spend a little more money and ensure you'll be happy with the end result. Starting a pup isn't always easy but, spend about twice as much up front with a reputable breeder/trainer and you'll save many, many headaches and have a hunting buddy that will be rock solid for many years. Getting a dog from Ryan or Lee will be a great investment for a hunting buddy and a family pet which you'll never regret. The extra money spent on started dogs saves you much time and experiementing with your own abilities to train a dog to do what you'll get out of the box from a proven, excellent trainer...
just my two pennies...

Another vote for Lee at wind river labs

I have a couple litters due this month that will produce blacks and yellows. Our stud Ben has produced some nice hunting dogs. I also would recommend Lee at Wind River.
Good luck,
Warren

Not sure it it's still available but there is a black lab female who has some stacked bloodlines. I would have bought her in a second if I could have. Not to mention it's here in washington. I spoke with Eric the breeder of this pup and he seems like a great guy, also and more importantly, he also seems to know what he is doing and talking about when it comes to Labs and their training. If i had the Money i would jump on this. Trust me it is worth spending the cash up front. If you need a reference to this just search the old threads about my dog Boone. The pain i went through with him may have been avoided had I went with a knowledgeable and responsible breeder. here is the link
