Well at 6:20 we called a bear in. It walked the trail behind me and was never seen again:(. We found lots and lots of fresh sign too.

Well I think Ive been lucky so far. The unit I hunt only has 1-2 bears a year taken but I see a lot of sign they are there, its just hard to get one to come in. Ill knock one in the dirt soon :tup:

Hey Demon and Inst. I am planning on heading over to do a little scouting this weekend for elk. I plan on camping on the 1701, right where it hist the ridge. if you guys are in the area, stop on by or watch for the Barbie Jeep.
Gonna be checking out the canyons from there down to Wenas creek ;)

I plan to go up this weekend. I don't have any leave to use now, got to save it for the family vacation.

Bald Mt road. I probably won't be there until some time in the evening. I get off work at 2 and am going to try and get out of town by 3.

No, its open.
Its Rock creek, Gold creek and Milk Creek that are closed.
Bald Mt Rd does not have any creek crossings until you are up at the top ;) and it seems that the wash outs on the roads above all have creeks that run along the road.
