We have talked about whether to count them or not. Some muleys and blacktails have them some don't. Some have some phenomenal ones. Almost all whitetails have them. Some better than others. Lets post some pics of some of the best eyeguards you have. Racks taken, field photos, shed antlers, whatever you got. If they have been on here before, don't fret, as we have lots of new members. I'll dig out one of my all time favorites and mayb another one or two.

Can't wait!

This is one of those antlers you kind of need to get your hands on to get the real character of it.

I went through some pictures and found these whitetails with unique eyeguards.
I shot this buck in 2001, his eyeguards are almost 8 inches long (one is forked).

Not mine but its from washington.
-
I usually don't count eyeguards unless it's a whitetail. There MIGHT be cases where I would count them on a blacktail or a mulie but they would have to be exceptional. Just my 1/2 cent.
-
Nice ones guys. Thats a dandy buck Timber. Love the close up where he is giving your camera a kiss. Sort of like he knew he was going to be famous someday and wanted to say check out my eyeguard. That last buck is a hawg. Love those massive diggers. Keep them coming guys.
-
thats a huge BT muleysniper! did you take those pics or someone else??
-
Here is my late season Chiwawa buck from a few years ago with almost 4" eyeguards.

-
Here is another buck with some unique eyeguards. I don't know the history of this buck other than the fact that he hung on the wall in the Blue Cougar for years. He now hangs in our hunting cabin.
(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi177.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fw207%2Fjontimmer%2FDSC01969.jpg&hash=cf34a26b13aeb55595201fc20471527ae62e97c8)

Good stuff!!!! I have a comment for each one, but then the next picture comes up. Exactly what I was looking for. Awesome specimens everyone.
-
ah the blue cougar. What about the studs in the store do you think they are local.
-
Nice pics everyone...
I was happy with the split eye guard on this buck I shot during the late season of 2006.
-
Nice buck Flipper.
What about the studs in the store do you think they are local.
I assume you are talking about the non-typicals in the General store, those are some dandies. I've asked the owner about them a few times, he doesn't know where they came from. I bet they are local bucks from the good ole days.
-
I found an elk shed that has a droptine eyeguard. The tine would have come town past his jaw line. I will have to take a picture of it.
P.S. Boneaddict send me a pm.
-
pm sent.
-
Antlershed....THAT IS my DREAM BUCK right there...I would have fullfilled my wildest Mulie buck dreams if I killed that buck with my longbow!!!!!!!!
PS..whose lion hunting snowmobile dog sled pic just popped up on random pics??
