Bucklucky is right on. I have hunted that area my hole life and i can count on one hand how many 300" bulls i have seen. There are alot of bulls just not big bulls. :twocents:

Just keep in mind longbow, Im pretty OK at scoring bulls on the hoof and most people I talk to that say they seen 350 bulls in there are about 75 inches off. I spent my whole life down there and know what there is. Good luck and if you get lucky and find that 1 in 500 type bull over 300 more power to you!! There is a few but way far and few between.
:yeah: I agree with Charlie. I am no expert for sure on scoring. But I do know if you play the score this bull game with charlie most people wont win. Ok Charlie dont get a big head now :chuckle: :chuckle: I wish he was wrong with his post because I have the tag myself. But it is what it is. I have spent alot of time up there over time. Man it sucks getting old. I also have friends that have grown up in the area there whole life. I dont consider it a trophy hunt as far as high scoring bulls go. But it is a great chance and getting a decent bull and I think any bull with a bow is a good bull.
but like everyone says there is always a chance at a 300 inch bull in any unit. I can count on one hand how many bulls that I would say was over 300 in there and most of them are farther up the mountian. but like I said I am no expert. Just my :twocents:

I wouldn't set my sites on taking something over 300" but you'll find some great bulls 270"-290". There is bulls in there that will go 300"320", but will be 1 in a 100 to find. As far as bulls going 350", that would be a first for me..... I've never seen or even heard of a bull that size up there, but you never know I guess :dunno: . Some guys I know have had that tag over the last few years and have done very well, they took a 282" and a 276" bull out of there. Best of luck
Did see a 340 bull about 10 years ago but thats the biggest I ever seen in there. And that was a 1 time deal.

As has been said 350 is one helluva bull. In the mud flow and the bordering units a good 6x6 will score 270-285 tops. But if score doesn't matter, you might get lucky and find one of those old bulls that is crowned on top. He won't score well but he might have 7 or 8 points on a side and they look cool.
ANd those bulls look sweet!! Probably be black horned too if your lucky 8)

I too have spent a good bit of time up there. I've seen only two bulls I am confident enough to say would go over 300. That's huge! Just think about it - 300 inches is 25 feet of horn length & girth. Plus some for deductions. Pull out a 25' measuring tape...that's a lot of inches!!!
