I wouldn't set my sites on taking something over 300" but you'll find some great bulls 270"-290". There is bulls in there that will go 300"320", but will be 1 in a 100 to find. As far as bulls going 350", that would be a first for me..... I've never seen or even heard of a bull that size up there, but you never know I guess  . Some guys I know have had that tag over the last few years and have done very well, they took a 282" and a 276" bull out of there. Best of luck

Did see a 340 bull about 10 years ago but thats the biggest I ever seen in there. And that was a 1 time deal.

As has been said 350 is one helluva bull.  In the mud flow and the bordering units a good 6x6 will score 270-285 tops.  But if score doesn't matter, you might get lucky and find one of those old bulls that is crowned on top.  He won't score well but he might have 7 or 8 points on a side and they look cool.

I too have spent a good bit of time up there.  I've seen only two bulls I am confident enough to say would go over 300.  That's huge!  Just think about it - 300 inches is 25 feet of horn length & girth. Plus some for deductions.  Pull out a 25' measuring tape...that's a lot of inches!!!

Only a few handfuls of Cascade Rosies outside of King and Pierce County in the Washington state record book measuring that.  As of 2005 there was not one single entry from Cowlitz Co. over 350 and only two from Skamania Co. over 350.

I think anything over 280 in the Mud Flow is an outstanding trophy.  One to definately be proud of.  And you'll probably have to work hard to find one of those.

This ain't the Outdoor Life Channel or Eastman's Outdoor Journal.  It's Washington's wet side.  Trophy has a different score/meaning over here.

ANd those bulls look sweet!! Probably be black horned too if your lucky

i have spent a few days in that area over the years    and i have only seen a few that would be close to 300.   you will see a ton of 5x5 bulls then maybe a cheater 6x5 or 6x6 or two. if you hold out you could get a 300 bull.  just get be prepared to eat that tag

I have a buddy who the last two years his bulls from winston have scored 298" in 2009, and 317" last year, the bad thing is that the bull he shot last year was a spot I told him to hunt

a freind of mine had a youth tag and missed a 270ish 6x5 ended up killing a 257 inch 5x5 so i would hold out or 260 plus

  If you get into a decent 6x6 better be pulling the triger and let the work start. Have been hunting Elk in this corner of the state for 35 years and taken 23 Elk in the last 30,,,, Your only prayer is for the snow to fly early and drive them down out of Miners creek to the vally floor.... at any rate you should have a good chance at taking a bull.
