Title: Bulls are getting Hard Horned!
Post by: Elkpiss on August 09, 2011, 02:52:55 PM: Most of the bulls I seen this weekend were hard horned.. :tup: The smaller bulls still had fuzz.. Seen lots of elk and things are smellin like Elk season!.. :rockin: And Seen lots of Fresh Rubs! :tup:

Post by: JBR on August 09, 2011, 02:55:44 PM: The spikes and 3x4 I saw this past weekend were still in velvet. I'm thinking we'll be seeing more torn up trees in the next 2 wks or so.

Stay away from my way.. :tung: but nice buck there dude!. It seems like i have been seeing a S ton of nice bucks this year, and nice bulls.. But I dont hunt local unless in the late season so kill um..

I dont have a GXL5000 to take pictures with.... But there hard horned dude! Like I said, little bulls fuzzed up, big bulls hard..

Post by: backcountrybow on August 12, 2011, 11:02:36 AM: I was up yesterday for a half day trip...went to check my trail cam's after a 10 day soak. Never even got to them. I had to get back to the office to for a few appointments. Just glassed the cleared ridge's....the bigger bulls (most of the 5's and 6's were hard horned), the majority of the johnny bulls were still all fuzzed up! I saw one 5 pt that had his left side hard and his right was still pretty much covered with velvet still. That was pretty cool. All in all...it was a great day! I am jacked for September 6th!

Post by: runningboard on August 13, 2011, 11:16:01 AM: My litle girl getting antsy too. she is 15 & getting all excited about elk season, she asked me for a new gun since I had her deer gun made 2 years ago with a custom stock that is too short now. haven't been able to get out and do any scouting yet ubt getting a bit antsy myself!
