Title: Good gunsmith for 870 repair?
Post by: Loki_762 on August 10, 2011, 12:24:04 PM
So far I have taken my Remington 870 12 gauge with a busted ejector spring to two gunsmiths that have told me that they can't fix my gun.  The fix should be simple with the right tools, but so far both guys I have spoken to said they don't have the tools or know how, and would have to send them out.  Is there anyone who can recommend a gunsmith that is good with shotguns in the Seattle-Everett-Marysville area?  I live on Whidbey Island, and  could easily get to any of these places, but I would rather not travel too far if I can avoid it.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

I am not in your area... but any gunsmith that can not fix this should sell their tools and take up knitting.  It takes longer to disassemble the shotgun than to replace the spring.

It's a trek for you from Whidbey, but Ed Lapour in Bremerton is very good. 360-479-4966
