Title: displaying mounts
Post by: manfromspam on August 13, 2011, 11:41:02 AM: Any advice on displaying mounts in my pole building which has wood walls but is not climate controlled. i would like to hang my elk in velvet, 2 deer, and a bear rug. it gets real hot in there in summer months and real cold in the winter . will i harm the mounts or will they be just fine ? i can always leave them inside but i thought they would look real cool out there. :dunno:

I would show off just skull plates and euro mounts outside but not shoulder mounts or skins. My buddys dad has 4 deer mounts in his shop and they are pretty faded and they don't get sun.

Yes they are in velvet shot them in may. and thanks for the info on my mounts . :tup:
