Title: cz550 mannlicher: update she is mine now!
Post by: carpsniperg2 on August 17, 2011, 10:33:00 PM
Well I haven't bought a gun for a long time, well since April lol until the other day. I bought a new rifle, like a week ago. Well I had no intentions of getting another gun for awhile after just getting a new gun. I saw this brand new cz550 mannlicher POP up. It is brand new and was setup with a leupold vxII 3-9 and rings. It also has a brand new hard aluminium rifle case 3 boxes of ammo and a bunch of cleaning supplies. The guy bought it and planned on hunting but decided he didn't want to get into it. He has 1500.00 invested into it and is asking 900.00 for it. Seems to be a banging deal and I checked prices and his number is spot on at 1500.00 invested. Mind you everything is brand new and 60rds of ammo. It is a 270win and has a fantastic stock. The barrel is short at 20" and the stock is different with it being a full stock and the stock being droopy like the mannlichers are. I have shot some czs and liked them. Shot mannlichers as well and have shot them well.

So I am trying to decide if I should pick up this killer deal. I am selling a couple more guns and have sold some in the last months. So that means I should pick this one up right? Lol

I sent him a email and will look at it tomorrow if he will let me. Might just show up with a little less and see if I can save even more then 6 bills. Even though it is already a steal!

There is always space for a new gun in my safe. The only problem is that there is to much space in my wallet. :chuckle:

I say go for it.  You won't be upset.  There is one out here the K-Town Rod and Gun club but it is only in .243 and that does not meet legal killing needs or big game out here.  It is even the Luxus (Top Wood) model for like $650.

There is no better look then the Stutzen they are beautiful.

Indeed I do addicted. I thought of your rifle when I was thinking about the mannlincher and who has them that I know. This one has very fancy wood and I am guessing is the luxus. I guess we will see how the cards play out. I wish it was a different caliber. Not that I don't love the 270 but I already have 3 LOL.

I dont think you can go wrong with CZ. I have the 550 Varmint Kevlar and love it.

Well once I got her in my hands this morning I could not say no! Plus I picked everything up for 850! :IBCOOL: what a deal! This thing is sweet! I got 3 boxes of ammo right at 90.00 cleaning supplies 50.00 leupold rings and bases 60.00 aluminum case 110.00 leupold vx2 3-9x40 lr duplex 350.00 sling 30.00 4 ammo boxes 10.00. That's 700.00 in acc alone! Everything is brand new!

The rifle I am having a hard time looking up the guns true value. It is a 550 cz fs with the mannlicher. Now this one I got is just like the 550 they have listed on there web site BUT mine has a floor plate and not a magazine. So I can't put a true price on the gun. If anyone could find the value someplace that would be great. The one with the clip is 860.00 and is the new model and is a little lighter then the one I just picked up. It is a 270win and has never been shot outside the factory. I can call cz and find it out but figured someone on here could find some info. All my books are way outdated.

I am loving this gun and deal!

Thanks for any help. Oh and pics later! I can't take my hands off of it yet LOL

Heck of a deal.  :tup:Have seen the cz model 550 mannlicher go used typically for around $750. Some of them have really nice wood

CZ makes a really nice rifle. HAve the 550 kevlar in 6.5x55 and shoots really well

I saw that kevlar model and that looks like a sweet gun.I figure it to be priced between 750 and 900. It is 100% condition and like I said never even shot, other then the factory group which is like .5"

Oh and it also came with the fancy aluma flip up lense covers. They are like 60.00 if I remember right. Oh here is the pic! Finally put her down long enough to take a pic lol.

wow, she's a beut.

I'd guess she's a few years older, thats why it has the floor plate and that older style butt pad.  i would have picked her up too.
