Title: 300 ultra mag/ chrony
Post by: Killmore on August 18, 2011, 08:36:49 AM: Anybody chrony the remington FACTORY 300 ultra mag ammo loaded with the swift scirocco bullet? Preferably with the 26inch barrel..Trying to come up with a number so I can send my scope info to leupold. oh,, 180 gr bullet with power level 3, Remington advertises 3250fps.. thanks..

This shells wouldn't shoot worth a shiat in line... 2 inch at 100 yards. Also showed pressure signs in my rifle.

If it is hotter out, you will see higher numbers; and colder out, will see lower numbers. If it gets too cold using slow powder in a large RUM case, might have to use even hotter primers to get ignition.

Me too, with nearly the same results as far as fps goes. Every other shot was 50 fps different. Weird, but the mean was right around the middle so that was good.

Definitely don't guess. Shoot it at distance as well and send that data to Leupold also.
