Long story short, my friend has a 4 year old labrador that must be rehomed. There is no cost, just needs a good home. He had a situation where he got scared and bit a little girl. It was a freak occurance, he just reacted because he was scared ( he had been attacked by neighboring dogs just prior). I have his half brother, and he is awesome duck dog. A lot of natural instinct, needs someone to take him to the field. He is around 3 kids from 7-14 everyday, never had a situation since or before. The homeowners insurance insists the dog be rehomed or euthanized. He is way too good of a dog, and I am sure there is someone here that could use him to his potential. I am sure you won't be disappointed!!!! He is fully intact, could make a awesome breeder. You can pm me, email me, or call me. I will be happy to put you in contact with the pets owners. 360-943-7261 Criss
We have until Friday to find him a new home, sorry for the short notice. If you want him, you have to move quick. Thanx

If you don't find anyone here, give Cindy a call and she may be able to help. She has helped quite a few rescue dogs.

If I didnt have two already good luck hate to see a good dog get put down.

You have the sister? Who is the breeder? Has anyone contacted the breeder? Usually, the breeders will help re-home and take care of their dogs if they are responsible breeders. Cindy will always help with rescue/homing a dog as well as the Lab Rescue Associations.

The breeder is out of Vancouver, I lost the contact information. But that might be a idea, if my friend still has the information? Hoping somebody on here still needs a good dog. I just got clarification from my friend, he is fixed and is only 3 years old. Thanx guys for the feedback, if nothing else I will pass along the contact for rockingmlabs. My friends are pretty tore about the deal, I know they really don't want to give him up. But one of those tough things, not really a decision when it comes to losing your homeowners insurance. Not like you don't pay them a ton of money over years, and years. When you make a claim, they make you pay dearly!

Very good point Happy Gilmore. A responsible breeder is responsible the entire life of the dog. The breeders name is listed on the registration certificate. I would suggest going that route prior to putting him down, and I'm glad he's fixed. I wouldn't suggest using him for breeding as it's best to breed away from any bad traits. I know this was a "freak" thing, but it's better to be safe when breeding than not.

If I didn't already have a dog I'd have probably taken him. :( I'm trying to get ahold of a buddy that may want him.

It's all good y buddy knows his phone # shows up as Restricted. He should have left his name and number.

Glad to hear that he found a good home. Did you ask for pics to see how the dog is doing?
-
No I didn't ask for pictures, but I plan too ;) Whiskey seemed to like the new home, he came up to em right away. Wagged his tail, and then jumped in the truck LOL Glad he got to go home with a HuntWA member! Hopefully he will post some pictures up here himself!!!!!!
