If so, thanks for not jacking with my camera. Taken near Sultan.
Smile!

isn't it kinda funny how the only thing he camo'd was his head?
-
Yeah, strange way to dress. WTH was he doing? Is that a rifle he's carrying? Bear hunter?
-
That's funny. My father has been one of the more successful hunters I know, yet he dresses identical to joe blow there. Usually a plaid shirt and jeans. Camo pants are usually brought out for the opener, but that's as far as they make it. And most importantly... don't forget the Redwing work boots and suspenders. Drives me nuts!
-
Don't forget--animals don't see color the way we do. About all that would give him away are his bright arms and hands.
-
Not me...but maybe he's out after work and going with what he had on, just enjoying an armed evening stroll with the off chance of running into a bear.. Allot of people don't have the time to get super geeky about it because they have these full time jobey thingies that get in the way.

Exactly....we used to kill plenty of stuff back before we were told you're not hunting unless you have the latest camo and scent blocker technology along with several thousand dollars worth of gadgets. OR maybe he can't afford the latest 'as seen on TV' superstar hunter Under Armour (notice the gay french spelling...and they've tricked lots of you into wearing it :IBCOOL:) tactical underwear. Allot of the guys, like your dad i suspect, kill plenty of stuff on their own without the glory of video cameras and prostaff sponsorship

I'm going with the afternoon stroll. Glad he is out enjoying the area. The spot is a pretty easy walk. I would cover them arms up as well. Like I mentioned, he didn't jack with my camera. So, in my book, he is welcome to be in the area and hope he has some good hunting.
-
H2O your welcome! :hello:
That handsome fellow would be me!
And for you guys commenting on my attire: It was a Thursday night at 6:33pm, i came straight from work and slapped on the mask and hat and went on a silent stroll looking for some action. When i hunt during the weekdays i cant stop at home or i will never make it out of there and up in the woods before legal shooting hours expire.
i saw the apple pile and the hell raiser camera set up and knew it was yours. I thought about posing for a few pics chewing on your apples but i was tooo driven to hit a different area since that corridor was now off limits for whacking bruins due to the grub on the floor, so i opted instead to double time it on out of there and work some other holes.
Your cam is the 4th that i've found since the week before the season opened. I'm not a dirty crook though so they stay where they are at.
By the way on my way out i was walking loudly and quick so i might have a chance of getting to a different spot before it ot too late I jumped a 4x3 masher probably 300 yards from your spot halfway down the dark tunnel. He was huuuge.
-
I think I've got a pic of the masher, check it out. He is like a ghost.
-
No way this guys rack was wide and tall!!! and he had a doe with him im guessing maybe 18 inches tall. Caught him crossing the trail following the doe he froze up and stared at me for a good 30 secs before taking one large leap and disappearing..

Well, come Sept I'll be camped back in the brush in the corner with my bow. I'll keep my eyes out for him.
-
No, that ain't me, neither.
Maybe it's the guy who was open carrying down at Green Lake the other day and got into this conversation with the cops

I saw that pile of apples laying there on the ground, center image immediately.

Ya now that i know where your at I wont be back causing any pressure to your candidates.

Those apples were a last minute addition the other day. I had a lady offer them a while back and she took the time to haul a bag to me. Didn't want to be rude so I took 'em and hauled them out. Of course the bears came in and ate 'em up. No more feed for me in the area.
I appreciate you giving me the room for bowhunting come September.

That was a nice thread someone who actually saw someones set up and had the common sense to move on to another spot and to not steal his camera or mess up his site. Nice they were both hunters from this site and it was;nt just another stolen camera story. Good hunting to you both.
-
Yeah, some decent folks. I've talked to Dirty once or twice. He is in the 'ol cell phone as a possible "bear down need help" call.

thanks buckhorn. there are still a few of us out there with respect for others property and their planned spots. If only we could get the message out that " Just because its public land doesnt mean your entitled to anything on it"...
